  1. Where can I get a U of A ID Card?

  1. Do I need identification to get an ID card? Yes

    A valid driver’s license, passport, or military id is acceptable.

  2. Why do I need an ID card?
  • The undergrad or graduate ID card is the official U of A – Fayetteville identification card.
  • It is required to swipe for meal plan access and Dining Dollars, HPER access, and event access to name a few.
  • Many professors require it as identification prior to tests.
  • University Libraries require it to check out materials and books.
  • University Bookstore requires it to sell back books.
  • It is required to use Razorbuck$.
  • It is required for using public access copiers on campus.
  • It is used for after hour’s access to academic buildings and computer labs.
  1. How long will it take to get an ID card? 

    5 to 7 minutes but longer in peak times during the start of the semester.

  2. Do I need to be enrolled?
    • Undergraduate students attending orientation get their card during orientation.
    • Undergraduate students NOT attending orientation:
    1. must enroll in classes.
    2. when the id charge is listed in the students ISIS account, come to the Campus Card Office for the ID card.
    • Graduate students may get their *ID card prior to registration. *NOTE: if a new graduate student received their degree from the U of A, Fayetteville, they may trade their undergraduate ID for a graduate card free of charge.
  3. Is there a fee for the U of A student ID card? Yes
    • Undergraduates are charged in their first fall or spring semester.
    • Graduates are charged when they come to the office to have their *card made.
    • *NOTE: If a new graduate student received their undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville, the student can trade their undergraduate card in free of charge.
  4. Can I have someone else pick up my card? No
    • Your U of A ID Card is your responsibility.
    • It is not transferrable.
    • You will have to sign for the card when you pick it up.
    • You will have to show your identification when you pick it up.
  5. Is there a fee to replace a lost or stolen card? Yes

    Students, faculty, staff, and affiliates are charged a fee if they lose their ID card.

  6. What should I do if my card isn’t working?

    Bring your card to the Campus Card Office.

  7. What happens if I let someone else use my card and they get caught?
    • You will be sent to the Office of Community Standards and Student Ethics.
    • The Campus Card Office will charge a $25.00 fee to re-activate you card.
  8. What should I do if I lose my card?
    • IMMEDIATELY go to http://razorbucks.uark.edu/
    • Log in to your Razorbuck$ account in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
    • Click on Lost/Stolen Card button on the left side of the page.
    • Click the Deactivate button. OR
    • Come to the Campus Card Office during normal business hours.
  9. I found my deactivated card but now it won’t work.

    Bring your card to the Campus Card Office to reactivate it.

  10. Can I reactivate my card over the phone? No

    For your protection, please bring your card to the Campus Card Office so that we can verify your identity.

  11. When can I get a new card if I’ve had a name change?
    • Change your name at the Registrar’s Office first.
    • Once it is reflected in your ISIS account, bring your card with the old name to the Campus Card Office.
    • The Campus Card Office will verify the name change on ISIS.
    • A card with your new name can be made.
  12. Do I need my ID card for Athletic Tickets or Events? Yes
    • The Athletic Ticket Office will swipe your card to verify enrollment to purchase tickets.
    • Your card will be swiped to verify enrollment again to enter the event.
    • Note: You will not be allowed to enter the event on a student ticket if you are not enrolled.
  13. Can I trade my card in if it is worn out? Yes.

    The staff of the Campus Card Office will determine if the wear and tear on the card is normal.

  14. What happens if the Campus Card Office staff decides it is not normal wear and tear?

    You will be charged a fee to replace the card.

  15. Why do cards cost so much?
    • The Campus Card Office is a self supporting unit of the University.
    • The ID fee covers the cost of ID card production equipment software and maintenance, the ID transaction system and software, and repair and replacement of equipment.
  16. When will my card work in the University Recreation Facilities?

    A date is determined by the University Recreation staff as to when the cards for each semester should be active. It varies by semester.

FACULTY AND STAFF ID CARD FAQ

  1. I’m a new faculty/staff member. How do I get a U of A ID card?
    • Go to http://campuscardoffice.uark.edu/ and click on the forms button.
    • Print the form.
    • Fill it out and have your supervisor sign it.
    • Bring the completed form to the Campus Card Office with your valid driver’s license, passport or military id.
  2. What do I need the card for?
    • To check out keys for your office.
    • For security access if your building uses electronic security access.
    • To check out library books.
    • To make personal copies.
    • Use the Razorbuck$ account attached to your ID card to purchase goods and services on campus purchases.
  3. Do I have to pay for my first faculty or staff ID card? 
    No.

    The first card is free.

  4. Do I have to pay if I lose my faculty or staff ID card? 
    Yes.

    You will be charged the lost card fee.

  5. What should I do if I lose my card?
    • Go to http://razorbucks.uark.edu/
    • Log in to your Razorbuck$ account in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
    • Click on Lost/Stolen Card button on the left side of the page.
    • Click the Deactivate button.

  1. What are Razorbuck$?

    A debit system that student, faculty and staff can add money to their U of A ID card.

  2. Where can Razorbuck$ be used?
    • All dining, coffee shops, and convenient stores on campus
    • Garland,  and Stadium Parking Deck
    • Parking and Transit Office
    • Pat Walker Health Center
    • Select Copiers and Vending Machines
    • Student Accounts Office
    • Union Copy Center & Post Office
    • Union Hair Care
    • Campus Card Office for ID Fee
    • U of A Bookstore Locations
    • Beginning March 23, 2009 look for the “Pay Here With Razorbuck” at local merchants

  3. Where can I add money to my Razorbuck$ account?
    • On line at http://razorbucks.uark.edu with Visa, MasterCard and Discover
    • Campus Card Office, Arkansas Union 427 with cash, check, traveler’s checks, or money order
    • VTS machines takes cash only (no change given) in:
      1. Mullins Library Copier Room
      2. Law Library Copier Room
      3. Arkansas Union Living Room
  4. Is there a minimum or maximum deposit amount?
    • Minimum – None
    • Maximum - $1,600
  5. How can I check my balance?
    1. Go to http://razorbucks.uark.edu 
      1. Set up a password to your account by clicking on “I’m new here” button next to the “login” button in the upper right corner.
      2. Fill out the form.
      3. A password will be emailed to you.
      4. After your password is emailed to you, log in at http://razorbucks.uark.edu in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
    2. The balance is displayed after each transaction at the register.
    3. At the Campus Card Office.
    4. At all VTS machines.
  6. Why can’t you tell me my balance over the phone?

    This is a security policy protecting your privacy. Since we are not able to verify your identity over the phone, we will not give out that information.

  7. Can I get cash from my Razorbuck$ account? 

    No. It does not act like an ATM. Cash is never returned from Razorbuck$.

  8. Can I close my Razorbuck$ account? Yes

    There are 2 situations you can close the account:

    • During the last week of class in the semester.
    • If you are withdrawing from the University.
  9. What do I need to do to close my Razorbuck$ account?
    • Come to the Campus Card Office to fill out a refund request.
    • If you made the deposit by credit card, a refund will be made to the credit card.
    • If you made the deposit by check or cash, a check will be mailed to the account holder from Student Account’s Office.

    Note: Any balance remaining in an account that has been closed will be applied against any debt that the Cardholder owes to The University of Arkansas. If all debts are paid in full, the Treasurer’s Office will return any remaining balance to the Cardholder.

  10. What is the difference between Razorbuck$ and Dining Dollars?

    Razorbuck$:

    • Can be used at over 160 locations around campus including all dining and convenience store locations and starting in March 2009 look for Fayetteville merchants that take Razorbuck$.
    • A full list of locations can be found at http://campuscardoffice.uark.edu/ and click on the “merchants” button.
    • It rolls over each semester as long as the account is being active.
    • Receive a 5% discount at Chartwells locations.

    Dining Dollars:

    • Is a part of your meal plan.
    • Can only be used for food on campus.
    • Restarts each semester that you sign up for a meal plan.
    • Any balance left in the Flex Dollar account at the end of the semester is forfeited.
  11. Can I transfer the remaining balance from my Dining Dollars in my meal plan to Razorbuck$?

    No. Dining Dollars are a part of the meal plan and can only be used for food.

  12. Can I find out the balance in someone else’s account? 

    No. We will only give out account information to the person whose name is on the account.

  13. Are there any fees associated with a Razorbuck$ account?Yes

    An Inactive Account Fee will be charged to accounts that remain inactive over a (12) twelve month period.

    • Each May, following the end of the Spring semester, we will determine who has NOT used their account since May of the previous year.
    • If an account has not been used in this time period, we will charge a $25 fee to the account.
    • The inactive accounts will continue to be monitored and charged the $25 fee each month until the account balance is zero (0).
    • The Campus Card Office will not refund this fee under any circumstances.
      There are no fees associated with deposits and purchases.
